5. No Professional Advice

The information provided on this Site — including our Business Valuation Scorecard, cost guides, process guides, and general resources — is for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute financial, legal, accounting, taxation, or professional advice.

Valuation ranges and scoring outputs generated by the Scorecard tool are indicative estimates based on the information you provide. They are not formal business valuations and should not be relied upon as such. Actual business value is affected by many factors including market conditions, buyer appetite, due diligence findings, and professional assessment.

Before making any financial, legal, or business decisions, you should seek independent professional advice from a suitably qualified adviser. Tradewise Group does not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and does not provide financial product advice as defined under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).

6. Data Collection & Use

When you submit a form, complete the Scorecard, book a call, or otherwise interact with the Site, you provide us with personal and business information. By doing so, you consent to our collection and use of that information as described in our Privacy Policy and summarised here.

How we use your data

We collect and use your data for the following purposes:

  • Service delivery: To contact you, deliver the services you've requested, and manage our client relationship with you.
  • Internal marketing: To send you relevant information about Tradewise Group services, updates, and resources that we believe may be of interest to you. You can opt out of marketing communications at any time.
  • Business intelligence: We may use aggregated, de-identified data from our client base to analyse industry trends, benchmark business performance, and develop purchasing power insights for the benefit of our client group. Any such analysis will use aggregated, anonymised data that cannot be used to identify you individually.
  • Service improvement: To improve how we operate, develop new services, and better serve the trade business community.
Our commitment regarding your data:
  • We will never sell your personal information to third parties.
  • We will seek your explicit permission before using your identifiable data for any purpose beyond the above — including any group purchasing or commercial partnerships.
  • We will not share your data with external organisations for their own marketing purposes without your consent.

Third-party platforms

We use HubSpot CRM (operated by HubSpot, Inc., United States) to manage contact data, form submissions, and email communications. Data submitted via this Site may be stored on HubSpot's servers. HubSpot is certified under applicable international data transfer frameworks. See our Privacy Policy — Overseas Disclosure for more detail.

Our full privacy practices — including your rights of access, correction, and complaint — are set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Use.

7. Third-Party Links & Tools

The Site may contain links to external websites, platforms, and tools operated by third parties (including HubSpot booking pages). These links are provided for your convenience only. We do not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or reliability of any third-party site.

Your use of any linked third-party site is subject to that site's own terms and privacy policy. We encourage you to review those documents before providing any personal information to a third-party platform.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TradeWise Group Pty Ltd and its directors, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for any loss or damage — including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages — arising from or in connection with:

  • Your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any content on it
  • Any reliance on information, tools, or resources provided on the Site
  • Valuation estimates generated by the Business Valuation Scorecard
  • Errors, omissions, interruptions, or delays in the operation of the Site
  • Unauthorised access to or alteration of your data
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on or via the Site

The Site and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

Where our liability cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)) or other applicable legislation, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by that legislation.

9. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms of Use is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any right or remedy you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or any other applicable consumer protection legislation that cannot be excluded by agreement.

Under the ACL, consumers have the benefit of statutory guarantees in relation to services, including that services will be rendered with due care and skill, be fit for any purpose you make known to us, and be supplied within a reasonable time. Where these guarantees apply, you may be entitled to a remedy.

Our services are primarily directed to businesses. To the extent permitted by law, where services are acquired for the purposes of a business (not a consumer), the application of consumer guarantees under the ACL may be limited or excluded as permitted by section 64A of the ACL.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time to reflect changes to our services, technology, legal requirements, or business practices. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Your continued use of the Site after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms. We encourage you to review this page periodically. If a change materially affects your rights, we will take reasonable steps to notify you where practicable.

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Use are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Queensland, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

You agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland (and any courts competent to hear appeals from those courts) in respect of any dispute arising from or related to these terms or your use of the Site.

If you are accessing the Site from outside Australia, you acknowledge that your local laws may also apply. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under any applicable mandatory local consumer protection legislation.
